HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Lee Grubor, who passed away on March 22, 2008; and

WHEREAS, Lee Grubor served with pride and distinction as Deputy Fire Chief of the Lewistown Fire Department; he had served as a volunteer firefighter for 21 years; and

WHEREAS, Lee Grubor also spent much of his free time working with the Lewistown Fire Department in other capacities; he chaired the committee to rebuild the Lewistown Fire Department building after a fire in 2007; he was largely responsible for fabricating the Sheriff's Department roll-over vehicle demonstrator; he also performed most of the maintenance and mechanical work for the department; and

WHEREAS, Lee Grubor had begun a position with Alforter/Caterpillar a few months prior to his passing; and

WHEREAS, Lee Grubor is survived by his loving wife, Mary; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the death of Lee Grubor; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lee Grubor as an expression of our sympathy.
