HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Paul Thomson on his retirement from the Franklin Park Fire Department; and

WHEREAS, He began his career as a firefighter on February 3, 1968 and officially retired on November 28, 2007; he will be honored at a party on April 26, 2008; and

WHEREAS, He has been honored for the rescue of a woman caught in a house fire in 1973; and

WHEREAS, He was named the Franklin Park Firefighter of the Year in 1996; and

WHEREAS, He is married to Linda Thomson (nee, McCandless); they have three children, Thomas (Anita), also a Franklin Park Firefighter, Michael, a Firefighter in Wooddale, and Robert; and they are the proud grandparents of Monique Thomson; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Paul Thomson on his retirement and wish him the best in his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Paul Thomson as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
