HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the Carlyle Junior High Lady Indians on winning the Southern Illinois Junior High School Athletic Association State Basketball Championship game (large class); and

WHEREAS, The Carlyle Lady Indians defeated the Olney Cubs with a final score of 45-37; and

WHEREAS, The Lady Indians had previously defeated Murphysboro and Sparta to move to the championship game; and

WHEREAS, The championship was the fourth title for Carlyle, which won large school titles in 2004, 1998, and 1986; and

WHEREAS, The Lady Indians are led by Coaches Randy Voss and Jeff Wessel; and

WHEREAS, The 2006-07 Carlyle Junior High Lady Indians are Syndey Novsek, Jenna Huels, Olivia Walker, Kaylee Gustafson, Cati Funderburk, Samantha Harlan, Nicole Stanfa, Paige Mueller, Katie Stanfa, Paige Rakers, Tiffany Aarns, Courtney Kern, Haley Purcell, Amanda Feldmann, and Nicole Schaeffer; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the Carlyle Lady Indians on winning the Southern Illinois Junior High School Athletic Association Championship (large class); and be it further

RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be presented to the coaches and team members of the Carlyle Lady Indians as a symbol of our esteem.
