Amends the Illinois Governmental Ethics Act. Makes a technical change in a Section defining "economic opportunity".

AN ACT concerning government.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Illinois Governmental Ethics Act is amended by changing Section 1-105 as follows:

(5 ILCS 420/1-105) (from Ch. 127, par. 601-105)

Sec. 1-105. "Economic opportunity" means any purchase, sale, lease, contract, option, or other transaction or arrangement involving property or services wherein a legislator may gain an economic benefit. The The term shall not include gifts.
