AN ACT concerning public aid.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by adding Section 12-4.20e as follows:

(305 ILCS 5/12-4.20e new)

Sec. 12-4.20e. Medicaid Advisory Committee membership. The Medicaid Advisory Committee established in accordance with the requirements of 42 CFR 431.12 shall include, in addition to the members appointed by the Director of Healthcare and Family Services, 4 members appointed one each by the President of the Senate, the Minority Leader of the Senate, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
