SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Dale Kenneth Catton of Toulon, who passed away on March 1, 2023; and

WHEREAS, Dale Catton was born in Kewanee to Vincent Catton and Violet (Howell) Fitzpatrick on June 30, 1942; he served in the U.S. Army National Guard from August 1, 1960 to July 31, 1968; and

WHEREAS, Dale Catton had a lifelong career as a carpenter; he joined Carpenters Union #183 in 1970 and maintained an active membership his entire life; and

WHEREAS, Dale Catton enjoyed working as a farmer in the Toulon area after his retirement; and

WHEREAS, Dale Catton was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Kay Catton; and

WHEREAS, Dale Catton is survived by his daughter, Lorrie (Robin) Nowlan; his sons, Lawrence (Sheri) and Randy Catton; his grandchildren, Ashton (Patrick) Sheehan, Alex Nowlan, Ashley (Jeremy) Egli, Cody Catton, and Chelsey Catton; and four great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Dale Kenneth Catton and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Dale Catton as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
