SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois were grieved to learn of the death of Charles "Duke" Andrew Craig of Buda on Sunday, February 13, 2005; and

WHEREAS, He was born on August 7, 1946, in Chicago to Andrew and Wanda (Garris) Craig; he married Mary Toothaker on May 1, 1976, in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Craig retired as a realtor in 1988; he valiantly served his country during the Vietnam War as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps; he was a member of the Wyanet VFW post 6634, the Princeton American Legion Post 125 and Disabled American Veterans in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Charles "Duke" Andrew Craig has been deeply felt by many, especially his wife, Mary; his sons, Timothy (Charlene) Craig, James (Theresa) Craig, and Charles Jr. (Crystal) Craig; his daughters, Deborah (Stephen) Mitchley, Nancy (Lincoln) Forrester, Cassandra Craig, Roxane (John) Ruch, and Morgan (Mark) Williams; his sisters, Marianne Ryan and Kelly (Mike) Connolly; his brothers, Daniel (Dawn) Craig and Andrew Craig; and his nine grandchildren; he was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, James Craig; and a sister, Patricia Malick; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Charles "Duke" Andrew Craig, and we extend our deepest sympathy to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to his family as an expression of our sincere condolences.
