SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of John E. "Jack" Hills, Jr., of Joliet, Illinois, who passed away on November 16, 2006; and

WHEREAS, Jack Hills was born in Joliet, Illinois, on May 1, 1958; his parents were the late John and Donna (nee Wilhelmi) Hills; and

WHEREAS, He was a 1976 graduate of Joliet Catholic High School; he received a business degree from Lewis University in 1980; he was the owner of Jack's Painting and Decorating; he was previously employed at Hills Auto Supply; and

WHEREAS, Jack is remembered as a loving father and a loving brother who enjoyed playing his guitar; and

WHEREAS, John E. "Jack" Hills was the beloved father of Stacy and Molly Hills; the loving brother of D'Ann (Jim) Coppert, Cheryl (Dan) Ardaugh, Annette (Steve) Padron, Jim (Sue) Hills, and Barbara (Tom) Lambert; the dear uncle of Vincent (Jang Mi) Johnson, Vicki (Alex) Miller, Kati and Brian Ardaugh, Matt and Micah Padron, Tiffany and Taylor Hills, and T.J., Rachel, and Nicole Lambert; the proud great uncle of Jacob Miller; and the nephew of Dr. Arthur and Mary Beth Wilhelmi; he is also survived by many cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the death of John E. "Jack" Hills; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of John E. "Jack" Hills.
