SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Jacob "Jack" Morcos of Sugar Grove, on Friday, September 1, 2006; and

WHEREAS, He was born on September 24, 1941, in Latakia, Syria, to Nakhle and Afifeh (Afif) Morcos; he was united in marriage for 41 years to Janet (Abdnour) Morcos; and

WHEREAS, He was the founder and president of J.N. Morcos Insurance Agency; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Jacob "Jack" Morcos has been deeply felt by many, especially his wife, Janet; his sons, Michael J. (Vicki) Morcos and Stephen E. (Deirdre) Morcos; his grandchildren, Jacob, Joseph, and Benjamin Morcos; his brother, Jibrail (Rabab) Morcos, Malek (Linda) Morcos, and Afif (Kim) Morcos; he was preceded in death by his sister, Lena Morcos and his parents; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Jacob "Jack" Morcos, and we extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to his family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
