SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to express their sincere condolences to the family and friends of Wayne Charles VanHeirseele of Wheeling, who recently passed away; and

WHEREAS, Wayne VanHeirseele was born on May 8, 1934 in McHenry, Illinois; and

WHEREAS, He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the United States Navy; and

WHEREAS, He served as the Postmaster of the Wheeling Post Office for over 30 years, retiring in 1992; and

WHEREAS, He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Buffalo Grove, the National Association of Postmasters, and a member of the Board of Directors of Awake Support Group for Sleep pnea at Condell Medical Center; and

WHEREAS, Wayne VanHeirseele is survived by his daughter, Debra Knill and her husband, Mike; his brothers, James VanHeirseele and his wife, Mary, and Donald VanHeirseele and his wife, Melanie; his sister, Barbara Johnson and her husband, Durrell; his sister-in-law, Marjorie Cox and her husband, Roger; and his two grandchildren, Nicholas and Kaitlin; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we again send our sympathies to the family and friends of Wayne VanHeirseele; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Wayne VanHeirseele.
