SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 wish to express their sincere condolences to the family and
4 friends of Robert E. Sirvidas of Waukegan, who passed way on
5 Thursday, August 24, 2006; and
 
6     WHEREAS, He was born on April 8, 1940, in Chicago and had
7 been a longtime Waukegan resident; he was united in marriage
8 for 42 years to the former Nancy Dicig; and
 
9     WHEREAS, He worked with ComEd for 24 years and retired
10 after 9 years with the City of Waukegan public works
11 department; and
 
12     WHEREAS, He was an avid golfer and basketball player; he
13 was a member of the KSKJ basketball league, the industrial
14 basketball league in Waukegan for many years, and was a member
15 of the 1959 Waukegan Township High School basketball team that
16 placed fourth in the State tournament; and
 
17     WHEREAS, He was a member of the Bonnie Brook Golf
18 Association for 35 years, Bonnie Brook Golf Club Men's Senior
19 League, and was also a NIMGA member for many years; and
 
20     WHEREAS, The passing of Robert E. Sirvidas has been deeply
21 felt by many, especially his wife, Nancy; his sisters, Valaria
22 (Robert) Graves and Mari (Jerry) Ley; his nieces and nephews,
23 Christine (Paul) Franciszkowicz, Robert (Janay) Graves, Kathy
24 (Steve) Fielding, Jeffery Ley, and Kristy Ley; his grandnieces
25 and grandnephews, Kyle, Alexis, Emily, Kaitlyn, and Rylee; his
26 mother-in-law, Violet Dicig; and his sister-in-law, Judy
27 Dicig; therefore, be it
 
28     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
29 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

1 Robert E. Sirvidas, and we extend our sincere condolences to
2 his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
3 further
 
4     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
