SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 learned with regret of the death of Lance H. Wuellner of Alton
4 on Saturday, September 9, 2006; and
 
5     WHEREAS, He was born on March 14, 1945, in Alton to Dorothy
6 D. (Duncan) Wuellner and Bert J. Wuellner, who once served as
7 mayor of Alton; and
 
8     WHEREAS, He was united in marriage to the former Karen Sue
9 Crump on June 12, 1982, in the mountains of New Mexico; they
10 later had their marriage blessed by Father Don Roberts on July
11 25, 1982, in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton, where Mr.
12 Wuellner was a lifetime member; and
 
13     WHEREAS, He graduated from Chaminade Catholic High School
14 in St. Louis and later earned his Ph.D. in leisure studies from
15 the University of Illinois, where he was a member of the Chi
16 PSI Fraternity; and
 
17     WHEREAS, He was an activity director at The Fountains IV in
18 Godfrey; in his spare time, he enjoyed the outdoors, listening
19 to music, dancing, working crossword puzzles, reading the
20 Bible, and reciting the rosary daily; and
 
21     WHEREAS, The passing of Lance H. Wuellner has been deeply
22 felt by many, especially his wife, Karen; his mother, Dorothy;
23 his sons, Caleb M. Wuellner and Travis A. Wuellner; his
24 brothers and sisters-in-law, Todd G. and Debbie Wuellner, Eric
25 D. and Kara Wuellner, Kris D. and Melinda Wuellner, Miles B.
26 Wuellner, Scott A. Wuellner, Gayne S. and Jeannette Wuellner,
27 Kent L. and Peggy Wuellner, and Grant E. Wuellner; his sisters
28 and brother-in-law, Maris E. Shaw and Jena W. and Matthew R.
29 Collins; his mother-in-law, Judy P. Crump; his many nieces and
30 nephews; his other extended family; and his many friends; he

1 was preceded in death by his father, Bert J. Wuellner, and his
2 father-in-law, Silas B. Crump; therefore, be it
 
3     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
4 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5 Lance H. Wuellner, and we extend our sincere condolences to his
6 family, his friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7 further
 
8     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9 presented to his family as an expression of our deepest
10 sympathy.
