SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 learned with regret of the death of Nola Virruso of Cicero on
4 Sunday, September 17, 2006; and
 
5     WHEREAS, She was born on April 10, 1938, to Giulio and
6 Erina Lollini; she attended Roosevelt School and Morton High
7 School, both in Cicero; and
 
8     WHEREAS, Mrs. Virruso was a 27-year employee of the Town of
9 Cicero's Water Department; she was a member of the
10 Italian-American Club and an active member of St. Attracta
11 Catholic Church in Cicero; and
 
12     WHEREAS, She was very artistic, an excellent cook, and a
13 seamstress renowned for her costume making; she had good taste
14 and an eye for detail; and
 
15     WHEREAS, She had been a member of the Morton College Board
16 of Trustees since May of 2005; she chaired Morton College's
17 Museum Committee, which oversaw the development and securing of
18 items for the College's Hawthorne Museum and accompanying
19 Heritage Hall; she loved serving her community and was a proud
20 resident of the Town of Cicero and District 527; and
 
21     WHEREAS, The passing of Nola Virruso has been deeply felt
22 by many, especially her husband, Joseph, Supervisor of the Town
23 of Cicero; her children, Jacqueline (Frank) Napolitano, Lisa
24 (Larry) Musial, and Gina (Timothy) Prendergast; her
25 grandchildren, Alexandra, Carmine, Julia, Mark, Madeline,
26 Joseph, and Lillian; her brother, Albert (Dolores) Boemo; and
27 her brother-in-law, Vince (Joyce); she was preceded in death by
28 her parents; therefore, be it
 
29     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL

1 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
2 Nola Virruso, and we extend our sincere condolences to her
3 family, her friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
4 further
 
5     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6 presented to her family as an expression of our deepest
7 sympathy.
