SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 learned with sadness of the passing of Phillip "Phil" Francik
4 of Plainfield on May 27, 2006; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Phillip Francik was born on November 27, 1948 in
6 Lafayette, Indiana, the son of the late Charles and Vivian
7 Francik; he married his beloved wife, Peggy, on June 19, 1971;
8 and
 
9     WHEREAS, Mr. Francik served in the United States Army,
10 stationed in Germany for three years; he graduated from Indiana
11 University in 1971 with a degree in business administration; he
12 was employed by TruGreen Chem Lawn in Plainfield; and
 
13     WHEREAS, Mr. Francik had been actively involved with the
14 Plainfield Boy Scouts for the past 16 years; he served as
15 Scoutmaster for Troop #82 for five years and was a member of
16 the Order of the Arrow; in his spare time he enjoyed reading,
17 golfing, football, and traveling; and
 
18     WHEREAS, The passing of Phillip Francik has been deeply
19 felt by many, especially his loving and devoted wife, Peggy
20 Francik; his daughter, Nicole Francik; his son, Jeff Francik;
21 his sister, Comanche (David) Weaver; his nieces, Ellen (David
22 Wiegleb) Francik, Vivian (Will) McPherson, Jennifer (Greg)
23 Steele, and Chris Weaver; his great-nephew, Charles McPherson;
24 and his parents-in-law, Charles and Ursula; he was preceded in
25 death by his parents, Charles and Vivian Francik; his brother,
26 Charles (the late Barbara) Francik; and brother-in-law, Kenny;
27 therefore, be it
 
28     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
29 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
30 Phillip "Phil" Francik and we extend our sincere condolences to

1 his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
2 further
 
3     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
4 presented to his family as an expression of our deepest
5 sympathy.
