SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 learned with regret of the death of Irene L. Crompton of Herrin
4 on July 21, 2006; and
 
5     WHEREAS, She was born on February 22, 1931, in Herrin to
6 George and Rhoda (Evans) King, who preceded her in death; she
7 marred Harry Crompton on February 7, 1950, and he preceded her
8 in death on November 29, 1996; and
 
9     WHEREAS, Mrs. Crompton was a life member of First United
10 Methodist Church in Herrin, where she taught Sunday school; she
11 was a devoted MYF leader for many years and was an active
12 member of Methodist Sisters; and
 
13     WHEREAS, She was a devoted member of Bonnie Camp Board; she
14 worked at Allen Industries and was a respected cake decorator
15 for 18 years; and
 
16     WHEREAS, A devoted Christian, Mrs. Crompton was loved by
17 all who knew her; her passing has been deeply felt by many,
18 especially her sons, John Crompton and wife, Debbie, Tom
19 Crompton and wife, Serena, Terry Crompton and wife, Terri,
20 Randy Crompton and wife, Gina, and Kevin Crompton and wife,
21 Debbie; her grandchildren, Scott Crompton, Matt Crompton,
22 Callie Wehrman and husband, Steve, Autumn Whitson and husband,
23 Mike, Alex Crompton, Sayer Crompton and wife, Meghan, Brian
24 Crompton and wife, Elisabeth, Ashley Crompton, Kyle Crompton
25 and wife, Jobeth, Seth Crompton, Adam Crompton, Shanna
26 Crompton, Sheena Crompton, Kelsey Crompton, Kaleb Crompton,
27 Taylor Crompton, Brittani Saylor, Talley Saylor, and Robert
28 Burns; her great-grandchildren, Reagan Wehrman, Sophia
29 Wehrman, Madeline Wehrman, Emily Crompton, Ceana Crompton, and
30 Zander Saylor; her brother-in-law, Bill Ivy; her
31 sister-in-law, Wanda Matheny; her sister, Jean Brannam; and her

1 many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
2     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
3 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4 Irene L. Crompton, and we extend our sincere condolences to her
5 family, her friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
6 further
 
7     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8 presented to her family as an expression of our deepest
9 sympathy.
