SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 learned with regret of the untimely death of Michael James Dean
4 of Johnston City on Saturday, July 22, 2006; and
 
5     WHEREAS, He was born on November 6, 1980, in Carbondale to
6 James Rex and Karolyn Donnette (Hoover) Dean; he graduated from
7 Johnston City High School in 1999 and from Southern Illinois
8 University in 2004 with a B.S. in business management and in
9 2005 with a master's degree in teaching; and
 
10     WHEREAS, Mr. Dean was an umpire for IHSA and did
11 play-by-play for WGGH for Marion and Johnston City High School
12 sports; he was a member of First Christian Church of West
13 Frankfort; he was employed at Sesser-Valier High School as a
14 business/economics teacher and worked for the Williamson
15 County Highway Department; and
 
16     WHEREAS, He was interested in politics, computers, sports,
17 and snow skiing and was an avid Cardinals and Rams fan; he was
18 a proud new homeowner in Benton and lived with his dog, Aspen,
19 and cat, Pelo; and
 
20     WHEREAS, The passing of Michael James Dean has been deeply
21 felt by many, especially his mother and father, James Rex and
22 Karolyn Donnette (Hoover) Dean; his sisters, Donellyn Rae Dean
23 and Kara Lyn Dean; his uncle, Ron Hoover and wife Peggy; his
24 uncle, Keith Hoover and wife Susan, and their daughter
25 Danielle; and his many aunts, uncles, great-aunts,
26 great-uncles, and cousins; he was preceded in death by his
27 grandparents, Donal and Margaret Hoover and James and Helen
28 Dean, and his uncle, Randall Hoover; therefore, be it
 
29     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
30 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

1 Michael James Dean, who was taken from this world too soon, and
2 we extend our sincere condolences to his family, his friends,
3 and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
4     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
5 presented to his family as an expression of our deepest
6 sympathy.
