SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of Karl W. Fritze, Jr. of Metropolis, and formerly of Cobden and Mesa, Arizona, on June 25, 2006; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Fritze was born on February 11, 1926 in Cobden, the son of Karl W. Fritze, Sr. and Frankie Condon Fritze; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Fritze was a veteran and served in the United States Navy; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Fritze formerly owned a clothing store and dry cleaning store in Cobden for many years; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Karl W. Fritze, Jr. is deeply felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his lifelong companion, Ara Ferrill, and her children, Jackie Blackman and Bill Ferrill, who knew him as a father; and their children, Brian Ferrill, Came Boudeman, Angela Berkheimer, Edward Berkheimer, and Gretchen Childers; seven great-grandchildren; and his many other relatives and friends; he was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Bob Fritze; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Karl W. Fritze, Jr., and we extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to his family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
