SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with regret of the death of Rita J. Gaples of Mettawa on Tuesday, June 20, 2006; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Gaples was born on November 1, 1940, to Rolland and Mildred Klingbeil; and

WHEREAS, She enjoyed artwork and flowers and was a member of the Art Institute of Chicago, the Field Museum, and the Chicago Botanic Garden, and she was a registered nurse; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Rita J. Gaples has been deeply felt by many, especially her husband, Harry Gaples; her children, Tony Gaples and Rebecca Gaples (Simon Harrison); her grandson; her brother; and her sisters; she was preceded in death by her parents; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Rita J. Gaples, and we extend our sincere condolences to her family, her friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to her family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
