SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of Edward E. Schmidgall of Tiskilwa on Wednesday, February 9, 2005; and

WHEREAS, He was born May 6, 1917, in Morton to Otto and Mary (Bauman) Schmidgall; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Schmidgall was a retired farmer; he valiantly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the Christian Apostolic Church in Forrest; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Edward E. Schmidgall has been deeply felt by many, especially his wife, Viola Albrecht Beams Schmidgall; his stepson, Delmar (Eleanor) Beams; his brothers, Harold (Ethel) Schmidgall and Marvin (Dorothy) Schmidgall; his step-granddaughter, Leslee Beam (David) Staker; and his many nieces and nephews; he was preceded in death by his parents; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Edward E. Schmidgall, and we extend our deepest sympathy to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to his family as an expression of our sincere condolences.
