SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to express
3 their sincere condolences to the family and friends of Minister
4 Elmarie Mosley of East St. Louis, who passed away on March 5,
5 2006; and
 
6     WHEREAS, Elmarie Pleasant was born on November 4, 1941 to
7 John and Hursie Pleasant; she married Roy Mosley on August 7,
8 1964 and five children were born to this union; and
 
9     WHEREAS, From an early age, she accepted Christ as her
10 Savior and worked diligently to embody His Word in her actions
11 and deeds; she became a member of Greater New Hope Missionary
12 Baptist Church and later a member of St. Matthews Baptist
13 Church; and
 
14     WHEREAS, In 1982, she was called to the ministry; Minister
15 Mosley was a partner with Kenneth Haggin and Benny Hinn
16 Ministeries; and
 
17     WHEREAS, Minister Mosley was also active in her community;
18 for almost two decades, she served as an election judge
19 stationed at Attucks Elementary School; she also was a
20 successful Mary Kay Consultant for more than a decade; and
 
21     WHEREAS, Minister Mosley was preceded in death by both of
22 her parents; and
 
23     WHEREAS, The passing of Minister Elmarie Mosley will be
24 felt by all who knew and loved her, especially her husband, Roy
25 Mosley, Jr.; her children, Thesda Mosley-Manu, Eulanda
26 (Rickey) Shyne, Renetta Mosley, Roy Mosley, Jr., and David
27 Mosley; her sister, Barbara Mattox; her brother Gerard
28 Pleasant, Sr.; her grandchildren, Boafo Manu, Adwoa Manu, Kwame
29 Manu, Rickey Shyne, II, and Eric Shyne; her special friend,

1 Larry T. Hampton, Sr.; and a host of other relatives and
2 friends; therefore, be it
 
3     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
4 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
5 all who knew and loved her, the death of Minister Elmarie
6 Mosley; and be it further
 
7     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8 presented to the family of Minister Elmarie Mosley with our
9 sincere condolences.
