| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with regret of the death of Terry P. Tanner of Crab |
| 4 |
| Orchard on Wednesday, February 8, 2006; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Tanner was born on January 14, 1943, in |
| 6 |
| Williamson County to Paul and Jewell (McGuire) Tanner; he |
| 7 |
| married Loretta Richey on July 27, 1962 in Coal Bank; the |
| 8 |
| couple shared more than 43 years of marriage; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Tanner proudly answered the call to serve his |
| 10 |
| nation in the Vietnam War; he was a retired coal miner and a |
| 11 |
| Baptist; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Tanner was a member of UMWA 2420, Marion VFW |
| 13 |
| Post 1301, and SRR Raceway; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his father; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Terry P. Tanner has been deeply |
| 16 |
| felt by many, especially his wife, Loretta; his mother, Jewell; |
| 17 |
| his son, Christopher Shawn Tanner; his grandchildren, |
| 18 |
| Christopher Lane Tanner and Shana Maria Tanner; and his sister, |
| 19 |
| Doris (Dewey) Odum; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
| 21 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 22 |
| Terry P. Tanner, and we extend our sincerest condolences to his |
| 23 |
| family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
| 24 |
| further
|
| 25 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 26 |
| presented to his family as an expression of our deepest |
| 27 |
| sympathy for their loss.
