SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to express their sincere condolences to the family and friends of Wilfred "Bill" Goreham, Jr., of Kankakee, Illinois, who passed away on October 11, 2005; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Goreham was born on January 8, 1927, in Armstrong, Illinois; his parents were Wilfred and Alta Bailey Goreham, Sr.; he married Gladys Baronowski on June 6, 1959, in St. Anne; and

WHEREAS, He was a graduate of Sidell High School, where his father served as the principal; and

WHEREAS, He was printing publisher and owner of the St. Anne Record for 53 years; in the 1940s he began working in the newspaper industry under Charlie Lane at the Sidell Journal; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Goreham enjoyed fishing, his family, and his career; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Wilfred "Bill" Goreham, Jr., has been deeply felt by many, especially his wife; his two daughters, Julie (husband, Curt) Benson, and Janine (husband, Mark) Reich; his brother, Donald (wife, Jackie) Goreham; his five grandchildren; his great-grandchild; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we again send our sympathy to the family and friends of Wilfred "Bill" Goreham, Jr.; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Wilfred "Bill" Goreham, Jr.
