| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with regret of the death of Amy McGuire Daniel of |
| 4 |
| Godfrey on Saturday, December 31, 2005; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, The daughter of Howard and Judy (Landers) McGuire, |
| 6 |
| she was born August 22, 1968, in Hammond, Indiana; she grew up |
| 7 |
| in Highland, Indiana, where she graduated from high school in |
| 8 |
| 1986; she later went on to earn her bachelor of arts degree in |
| 9 |
| December of 1991 and her master of science degree in May 1997 |
| 10 |
| from Western Illinois University in Macomb; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, On October 10, 1992, at Saints Peter and Paul |
| 12 |
| Catholic Church in Alton, she married Joseph Stephen Daniel; |
| 13 |
| she worked as a speech and language pathologist in the |
| 14 |
| communication development program at Horace Mann Elementary |
| 15 |
| School in the Alton School District; she was a member of St. |
| 16 |
| Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey, and she was a loving wife |
| 17 |
| and devoted mother to her two boys; and
|
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Amy Daniel has been deeply felt by |
| 19 |
| many, especially her husband, Joseph; her sons, Matthew Stephen |
| 20 |
| Daniel and Luke McGuire Daniel; her parents; her sisters and |
| 21 |
| their husbands, Donna and Tom Golumbeck and Gina and Peter |
| 22 |
| Scheidler; her brother and his wife, Charles and Julie McGuire; |
| 23 |
| her five nieces; her two nephews; and her father-in-law and |
| 24 |
| mother-in-law, Stephen and Sarah Daniel; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
| 26 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 27 |
| Amy McGuire Daniel, and we extend our sincere condolences to |
| 28 |
| her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
| 29 |
