SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of Dolores Eileen Walters of Godfrey on November 18, 2005; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Walters was born June 20, 1928, in Alton to Harvey and Clara (Banks) Reilley; she married Joseph Bernard Walters on November 26, 1949, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Alton; and

WHEREAS, She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Lockhaven Country Club; she had been a member of the Junior Service League; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; her parents; and her daughter, Mary Patricia Schmidt; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Dolores Walters is felt by all who knew and loved her, especially her daughters and sons-in-law, Catherine and Larry Shiner, Jo Ann Walters, and Susan and Gordon Gluck; her sons and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Marjorie Walters Jr. and John Walters; her grandchildren, Allison and Matt Schmidt and Kyle and Courtney Walters; and her sisters, Patricia Judy, Jeanne Gaines, and Joan Diestelkamp; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Dolores Walters and extend our sincerest condolences to her family, friends, and community; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to her family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
