SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with regret of the death of Frank McCord of Jonesboro, formerly of Murphysboro and Carmi, on Tuesday, November 22, 2005; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his daughter, Evelyn Spencer; his grandson, Roy Franklin McCord; his brother, Robert McCord; his half brother, George McCord; his sister, Evelyn Melvin Carpenter; his half sister, Geneva Marlo; and his cousin, Lillian Sullivan; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Frank McCord has been deeply felt by many, especially his son, Roy F. McCord; his daughters and sons-in-law, Kay and Charles James, Geneva and Jesse Andrew James, and Paul Spencer; his grandchildren and their spouses, Kathy Hastings-Malone and Scott, Gregory McCord and Jeannie, Melissa McCord, Chuck Miller, Tammie Crossett and Jason, Amy Belford and Jeremy, Paul Wm. Spencer, Robert Spencer and Connie, Kim Spencer, and Tony Lee James; his step-grandson and wife, Randy James and Vicki; his thirteen great-grandchildren; his nephews, Bill Marlo and family and Donald Melvin; his cousins, Olive Turner and Frances Garavalia; and other family and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Frank McCord, and we extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to his family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
