SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with regret of the untimely and tragic death of Sara J. Sims of Mulkeytown on Friday, November 18, 2005; and

WHEREAS, She was the beloved daughter of Perry and Joni (Gardner) Sims, born on April 20, 1984; she was in the top ten of her graduating class at Christopher High School; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Sims was a homemaker and provided home care for handicapped individuals; she served in the Illinois National Guard; she was the loving mother of Alyssa, born in August 2005; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Sara J. Sims has been deeply felt by many, especially her boyfriend and Alyssa's daddy, John Bullock; her daughter, Alyssa Renee Sims; her mother, Joni Ziegler; her father, Perry Sims; her grandfather, Vernon Nagel; her grandparents, Ben and Nila Rose Gardner; her sisters and brother, Melissa Sims, Jessica Sims, and Evan Sims; and her many aunts and uncles; she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Theople Nagel; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Sara J. Sims, and we extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to her family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
