SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to express
3 their sincere condolences to the family and friends of Gayle
4 Dunn, who passed away on October 15, 2005; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Gayle Dunn was born on July 26, 1938, in Waukegan,
6 where she spent most of her life; and
 
7     WHEREAS, She retired from Victory Memorial Hospital as an
8 executive secretary after 13 years and spent several years as
9 an OB/GYN office manager in Lake Forest; in 1980, she went on
10 to spend 24 years at Abbott Laboratories before retiring in
11 2004; and
 
12     WHEREAS, Ms. Dunn was an active member in her community;
13 she was the past president of the Waukegan Democratic
14 Committee, the past president of Emblem Club #88 Waukegan, and
15 the past chairman of the Waukegan Housing Authority; she also
16 served on the board of the Lake County YMCA for several years;
17 and
 
18     WHEREAS, Gayle Dunn was preceded in death by her husband,
19 John Dunn, in 2001, and her parents, Robert Nelson and Anne
20 (Nelson) Turner; and
 
21     WHEREAS, The passing of Gayle Dunn will be felt by all who
22 knew and loved her, especially her daughter, Kelly (Bryon)
23 Chambers; her granddaughter, Danielle Chambers; her brother,
24 Ronald (Pauline) Nelson; her special cousin, Frank Turk; her
25 "chosen family members", Gordon, Sandra, and Beth Oaks, Thelma
26 and George "Bud" O'Flaherty, and Ginny Johnson; and many other
27 special friends; therefore, be it
 
28     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
29 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with

1 all who knew and loved her, the death of Gayle Dunn; and be it
2 further
 
3     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
4 presented to the family of Gayle Dunn.
