SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate were deeply
3 saddened to learn of the death of William C. Blow of Waukegan,
4 Illinois on October 13, 2005; and
 
5     WHEREAS, William C. Blow was born on February 17, 1927 in
6 Greenville, North Carolina to Norfolk and Clara Blow; and
 
7     WHEREAS, William grew up in Greenville; he graduated from
8 high school and served with the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1956;
9 while stationed at Fort Sheridan, he met and married Josephine
10 Clinkscales and made his home in Waukegan; and
 
11     WHEREAS, William worked for more than 35 years as a
12 maintenance mechanic with Commonwealth Edison, until his
13 retirement in 1987; he was an avid golfer, a member of the
14 North Shore Duffers Golf Club, and an active volunteer/trainer
15 with the First Tee program for youngsters; and
 
16     WHEREAS, William is survived by his wife of 52 years,
17 Josephine; a brother, McKinley Blow; a sister, Louella Moore;
18 he is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Mary Carter,
19 Isabella (Raleigh) Moss, Doris (Charles) Patterson, and Hattie
20 Blow; brothers-in-law, Sylvester (Lucille) Clinkscales and
21 Robert Clinkscales; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and
22 dear friends; and
 
23     WHEREAS, William was preceded in death by his father;
24 mother; three brothers, Cecil, Chester, and Earl; two sisters,
25 Mauline and Pauline; foster mother (Ida Hines); foster brother
26 (James Forman); and foster sister (Annie Little); therefore, be
27 it
 
28     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
29 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of

1 William C. Blow and extend our sincerest condolences to his
2 family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
3 further
 
4     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
5 presented to the family of William C. Blow as an expression of
6 our deepest sympathy.
