SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to express their sincere condolences to the family and friends of Fleeta Hansford Clarvoe, who passed away on October 10, 2005; and

WHEREAS, Fleeta Clarvoe was born on June 25, 1922, in Englewood, New Jersey; and

WHEREAS, Fleeta Clarvoe was preceded in death by her mother, father, brother, sister, and loving daughter, Judy Clemons; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Fleeta Hansford Clarvoe will be felt by all who knew and loved her, especially her devoted husband of fifty-three years, Walter W. Clarvoe, Sr.; her brother, Aytch Hansford; her sons, Emanuel Burns, Johnny Burns, and Walter W. Clarvoe, Jr.; her niece, Rose Marie Smith; her god-daughter, Icelean Y. McClendon; her grandchildren, Ronjeet, Tasha, Lakeesha, and Sasha Burns, Sholonda King, Lonette Allen, and Jenaue McClendon; and a host of great-grandchildren; grand-nephews, extended family, friends, and Babe the cat; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with all who knew and loved her, the death of Fleeta Hansford Clarvoe; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Fleeta Hansford Clarvoe.
