| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
| | 3 |
| learned, with regret, of the death of William Preston "Bill" | | 4 |
| Morgan of Olive Branch, Illinois, who died on September 29, | | 5 |
| 2005; and
| | 6 |
| WHEREAS, Bill Morgan was born September 26, 1933, in East | | 7 |
| Prairie, Missouri, the son of Tom and Alma Powers Morgan; and
| | 8 |
| WHEREAS, Bill Morgan made his living as a repairman of farm | | 9 |
| equipment; and
| | 10 |
| WHEREAS, Bill Morgan honorably served his country and was a | | 11 |
| veteran of the Korean Conflict; and
| | 12 |
| WHEREAS, He is survived by his wife, Beulah Morgan; two | | 13 |
| daughters, Carolyn Nix and Connie Dowdy; two sons, Robert | | 14 |
| Pearman and Steve Morgan; nine grandchildren, Andrea and | | 15 |
| Michael Nix, Justin and Tara Dowdy, Brianne, Jake, and Riley | | 16 |
| Pearman, R.C. Strand, and Stephanie Morgan; four brothers, F.E. | | 17 |
| "Nub" Southard, Bud Morgan, Jack Morgan, and Larry Morgan; two | | 18 |
| sisters, Iva Hatton and Shirley Jeude; nieces; nephews; and | | 19 |
| other relatives; therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL | | 21 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that that we mourn the | | 22 |
| passing of
William Preston "Bill" Morgan, and we extend our | | 23 |
| sincere condolences to
his family, friends, and all who knew | | 24 |
| and loved him; and be it further
| | 25 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
| | 26 |
| presented to his family as an expression of our deepest
| | 27 |
| sympathy.
