SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 learned with sadness of the death in the line of duty of
4 Officer Robin G. Vogel of Springfield on Monday, October 03,
5 2005; and
 
6     WHEREAS, Officer Vogel was born on September 6, 1968, in
7 Arlington Heights to Robert and Marilyn Pavlicek Cisowski; she
8 had been a Police Officer for the city of Decatur for the last
9 six years and was a member of the PB&PA #39 and the Springfield
10 Ski and Boat Club; she was a third-shift patrol officer, a
11 field training officer, and a cultural diversity officer; and
 
12     WHEREAS, She recently received her Associates Degree from
13 Lincoln Land Community College and enjoyed outdoor activities,
14 but she especially liked to play softball; and
 
15     WHEREAS, To her colleagues, she was known as energetic,
16 upbeat, and spirited; her enthusiastic attitude rubbed off on
17 all those with whom she came into contact; and
 
18     WHEREAS, The passing of Officer Robin Vogel has been deeply
19 felt by many, especially her son, Alex West; her parents,
20 Robert and Marilyn Pavlicek Cisowski; her sisters, Cheryl Davis
21 and Suzie Brown (husband, Bruce); her grandfather, Louis
22 Pavlicek; her nephews, Justin and Matthew Brown; her
23 ex-husband, Michael Vogel; her special friend, Adam Jahraus;
24 and her many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; she was
25 preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Grace Pavlicek,
26 and her paternal grandparents, Nicholas and Jennie Cisowski;
27 therefore, be it
 
28     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
29 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
30 Officer Robin G. Vogel, and we extend our deepest sympathy to

1 her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
2 further
 
3     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
4 presented to her family as an expression of our sincerest
5 condolences.
