SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The Senate was saddened to learn of the death of
3 Alice L. Sizemore of Herrin, Illinois on September 25, 2005;
4 and
 
5     WHEREAS, Mrs. Sizemore, the former Alice Collins, was born
6 November 25, 1929, in Carterville, to John and Elva (Gulledge)
7 Collins; she married Garland S. Sizemore August 20, 1946, in
8 Carterville; he preceded her in death December 3, 1989; and
 
9     WHEREAS, Mrs. Sizemore was a homemaker; she was a member of
10 Lone Oak Baptist Church in Energy; she was the Past Grand
11 Matron of the Rebekah Lodge in Carterville; she enjoyed working
12 in her yard, gardening, ceramics, and working puzzles books;
13 and
 
14     WHEREAS, Mrs. Sizemore is survived by her three sons and
15 two daughters-in-law, Eugene and Susie Sizemore, Michael and
16 Sherry Sizemore, and Jim Sizemore; six grandchildren and
17 spouses, Kim and Wally Meneese, Steven Sizemore, Becky and Eric
18 Wolf, Amy and Jody Cherry, Randy Sizemore, and Michael and
19 Melissa Sizemore; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Inez
20 and Bud McNew, Ruby Longshore, and Maxine Emery; two brothers
21 and sisters-in-law, Olen and Aleta Collins and Louie and Irm
22 Collins; great-grandchildren, Ashtyn, Wade, Kody, Rea, and
23 Shelina Meneese, Austin and Hunter Sizemore, Tony, Erica, and
24 Carly Wolf, Heather Sizemore, and Ian, Emma, and Kylie Cherry;
25 and special cousin, Geraldine Elders; and
 
26     WHEREAS, Mrs. Sizemore was preceded in death by her
27 parents; her husband; four brothers, Clyde, Othel, Evan, and
28 Virgus Collins; and three sisters, Peggy Richardson, Thelma
29 Gentry, and Cecil 'Corky' Maxwell; and
 
30     WHEREAS, Mrs. Sizemore will be greatly missed by all who

1 knew her, especially her family and friends; therefore, be it
 
2     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
3 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of
4 Alice L. Sizemore, and we extend our sincere condolences to her
5 family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
6 further
 
7     RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be presented to
8 the family of Alice L. Sizemore as an expression of our deepest
9 sympathy.
