SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to express their sincere condolences to the family and friends of Arthur "Gene" Eugene McDowell, who passed away on September 23, 2005; and

WHEREAS, Arthur McDowell was born on January 4, 1959 in Murphysboro to Claude and Arcille Green McDowell; and

WHEREAS, Mr. McDowell had worked in construction and logging; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by two sisters, Katheryne Whitaker Howell and Brenda Kay McDowell; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Arthur Eugene McDowell will be felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his daughter, Kelly (Raymond) Rodriguez; his significant other, Ruby Wallace; his granddaughters, Audrey Anna and Alexis Rodriguez; his mother, Arcille McDowell; his sisters, Karen (Robert) Poole, Laura Scott, Teri (Dave) Vaughn, Claudette, and Rhonda; his brothers, David McDowell, Russell (Dee) McDowell, and Claude McDowell, Jr; and his nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with all who knew and loved him, the death of Arthur Eugene McDowell; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Arthur Eugene McDowell.
