SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 learned with regret of the death of Viginia M. Tonsor of Alton
4 on Friday, October 7, 2005; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Mrs. Tonsor was born on September 14, 1912, in
6 Alton to August and Emma (Nolan) Eckhard; she married Jack M.
7 Tonsor on July 4, 1933 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton,
8 where she was a longtime member; and
 
9     WHEREAS, Mrs. Tonsor was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary
10 of Veterans of Foreign Wars Alton Post 1308; she was an avid
11 bridge player; and
 
12     WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, her
13 parents, four sisters, and two brothers; and
 
14     WHEREAS, The passing of Virginia Tonsor has been deeply
15 felt by many, especially her two daughters and sons-in-law,
16 Judith A. and Paul Woulfe and Jacqueline L. and Ralph Gissal;
17 her son and daughter-in-law, John P. and Fran Tonsor; her
18 brother, Mike Eckhard; her sister, Bertha Byron; her eight
19 grandchildren and their spouses, Matthew Woulfe, Virginia and
20 David Biele, Mark and Teresa Woulfe, Andrew and Melissa Woulfe,
21 Theresa Markley, Antoinette and Jack Swoboda, Brenda Gissal,
22 and John Gissal; her four stepgrandchildren and their spouses,
23 Lena and Mike Pinkston, Tena and Danny Myers, Lisa and Burt
24 Sturgis, and Kelley Suzewits; her eight great-grandchildren;
25 her eight stepgreat-grandchildren; and other extended family
26 and many dear friends; therefore, be it
 
27     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
28 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
29 Virginia M. Tonsor, and we extend our sincerest condolences to
30 her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
