SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with regret of the death of Alan Spencer of Carterville on Monday, August 23, 2005; and

WHEREAS, He was born on July 6, 1987, in Carbondale to Craig Alan and Wendelyn Ann (Yewell) Spencer; and

WHEREAS, He enjoyed watching television and listening to music, and he especially loved his dogs; he was attending Our Directions School in Herrin; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Wendell Yewell; his paternal great-grandparents; and his maternal great-grandfather, Walter Hensley; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Alan Spencer has been deeply felt by many, especially his mother, Ann Spencer; his father, Craig Spencer and his wife, Yvonne; his sisters and brother-in-law, Heather and Kyle Filson and Jennifer Hacker and her fiance, Ryan Aloffo; his brother, Wes Spencer; his stepbrother, Alex Sauer; his nephews, Ian Bogard and Logan Filson; his maternal grandmother, Nancy Yewell; his paternal grandparents, Russell and Delores Spencer; and his maternal great-grandmother, Mary Hensley; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Alan Spencer, and we extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to his family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
