SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of Lela W. Mudd of Springfield, formerly of Peoria, on January 25, 2005; and

WHEREAS, She was born May 4, 1909 in Pekin, the daughter of George F. and Carrie Payne Barrick Beimfohr; and

WHEREAS, She retired in 1975 as a machinist from Caterpillar Inc. after 37 years; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, William, and her daughter, Juanita Saccamono; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Lela W. Mudd is felt by all who knew and loved her, especially her sons, Joseph C. and William; her grandchildren; her great-grandchildren; her great-great-grandchildren; her sisters, Lois Pollit, Ruth Butch, and Ethel White; and her nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Lela W. Mudd and we extend our sincere condolences to her family; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to her family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
