SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with regret of the death of Jim Galloway of Thompsonville on Wednesday, August 10, 2005; and

WHEREAS, He was born in Gary, Indiana, on July 29, 1957, to Grover and Mildred (Tate) Galloway; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Galloway was a minister at Antioch International Assemblies in Mount Vernon; he was assistant coach of the Thompsonville Junior High baseball team and also coached summer ball in Thompsonville; he was a student at Southern Illinois University; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Jim Galloway has been deeply felt by many, especially his wife, Jody (Jordan) Galloway; his parents, Grover "Doc" and Mildred "Mid" Galloway; his children, Jessica Eaton and husband Chad, Thad Galloway, Jack Nielsen, Jordan Nielsen, Jaymi Galloway, and Jenna Galloway; his brother, Dr. Dan Galloway and wife Christine; his sister, Debbie Daly and husband Jim; and his many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Jim Galloway, and we extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to his family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
