SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with regret of the death of Elizabeth W. Lieb of Mounds on Wednesday, August 10, 2005; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Lieb was born on December 4, 1904, in Wickliffe, Kentucky, to Joseph Walter Farley and Daisy Vaden (Futrell) Farley; and

WHEREAS, She was a member and Sunday school teacher at the First Baptist Church in Mounds and was a housewife and a homemaker; she was on the Willard Scott Smuckers Show for her 100th birthday in December of 2004; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Elizabeth W. Lieb has been deeply felt by many, especially her daughters, Betty Goolin and Lucy Klosterman; her sons, Henry Lieb Jr. and Robert Lieb; and her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives; she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Lieb Sr. in 1992; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Elizabeth W. Lieb, and we extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to her family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
