SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with regret of the death of Larry Leon Reeves of Pulaski on Thursday, June 7, 2005; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Reeves was born on February 25, 1941, in Mounds to Carl Franklin Reeves and Muriel Janet "Mermie" (Palmer) Reeves; and

WHEREAS, He was a member of Pulaski Christian Church, an Army veteran, and was a PBX truck driver for 25 years; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Reeves was preceded in death by his father, Carl F. Reeves, on May 4, 1988, and by his sister, Carolyn Sue Jones, on August 6, 1980; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Larry Leon Reeves has been deeply felt by many, especially his mother, Mermie Reeves; his sons, William Carl Reeves and James Blaine Reeves; his brother, David Keith Reeves; and his many nephews, nieces, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Larry Leon Reeves, and we extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to his family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
