SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 learned with sadness of the death of Bill John Stacey on July
4 11, 2005; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Mr. Stacey was born February 28, 1933, in West
6 Vienna, to Ira Stacey and Alverta Martin Stacey; he married
7 Marilyn J. Harle Stacey on January 17, 1952; and
 
8     WHEREAS, He was a member of First Christian Church for 53
9 years; he was an Army veteran; he was retired from Crab Orchard
10 Wildlife Refuge where he worked for 34 years; he was also
11 employed at Rend Lake College for 14 years and Sesser City Hall
12 for 27 years; and
 
13     WHEREAS, He liked fishing and hunting with his son, John,
14 and grandchildren; he also enjoyed coaching his granddaughter
15 Alecia's softball team; and
 
16     WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents; his
17 sisters, Oma Peek and Ester King; his father-in-law, Matt
18 Harle; and his great-grandson, David Jefferson Wingo; and
 
19     WHEREAS, The passing of Bill Stacey is felt by all who knew
20 and loved him, especially his wife of 53 years, Marilyn; his
21 daughters and son-in-law, Kathy and Dale Wingo and Karen
22 Redding; his son and daughter-in-law, John and Teresa Stacey;
23 his grandchildren and their spouses, Jeff and Mellisa Wingo,
24 John Donald Wingo and fiancee Trishia Baker, Michael and Nicole
25 Redding, Matt Redding, and Alecia and Maggie Stacey; his
26 great-granddaughters, Dala Wingo, Kassandra Wingo, Kelsi
27 Wingo, Breana Wingo, and Allison Baker; his brother and
28 sister-in-law, Bob and Thea Stacey; his sisters and
29 brothers-in-law, Joyce Baumert, Sue and Gene Kathalynas, and
30 Brenda Kay and Bill Whittington; and his mother-in-law, Edna

1 Harle; therefore, be it
 
2     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
3 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4 Bill John Stacey and extend our sincerest condolences to his
5 family; and be it further
 
6     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7 presented to his family as an expression of our deepest
8 sympathy.
