SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of Bill John Stacey on July 11, 2005; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Stacey was born February 28, 1933, in West Vienna, to Ira Stacey and Alverta Martin Stacey; he married Marilyn J. Harle Stacey on January 17, 1952; and

WHEREAS, He was a member of First Christian Church for 53 years; he was an Army veteran; he was retired from Crab Orchard Wildlife Refuge where he worked for 34 years; he was also employed at Rend Lake College for 14 years and Sesser City Hall for 27 years; and

WHEREAS, He liked fishing and hunting with his son, John, and grandchildren; he also enjoyed coaching his granddaughter Alecia's softball team; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Oma Peek and Ester King; his father-in-law, Matt Harle; and his great-grandson, David Jefferson Wingo; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Bill Stacey is felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his wife of 53 years, Marilyn; his daughters and son-in-law, Kathy and Dale Wingo and Karen Redding; his son and daughter-in-law, John and Teresa Stacey; his grandchildren and their spouses, Jeff and Mellisa Wingo, John Donald Wingo and fiancee Trishia Baker, Michael and Nicole Redding, Matt Redding, and Alecia and Maggie Stacey; his great-granddaughters, Dala Wingo, Kassandra Wingo, Kelsi Wingo, Breana Wingo, and Allison Baker; his brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Thea Stacey; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce Baumert, Sue and Gene Kathalynas, and Brenda Kay and Bill Whittington; and his mother-in-law, Edna Harle; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Bill John Stacey and extend our sincerest condolences to his family; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to his family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
