SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of Philip F. Motl of Darien, formerly of Downers Grove, on January 8, 2005; and

WHEREAS, Philip was an industrial engineer for more than 40 years; he worked with International Harvester and also for JI Case, a heavy equipment manufacturer; and

WHEREAS, He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the Alexander Bradley Burns Post 80, American Legion, Downers Grove; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Philip F. Motl is felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his wife of 57 years, Jane; his son, Jon (Jennifer); his brothers, James, Richard, and David; his sister, Betty Krebs; and his grandchildren, Haley, Hannah, and Aidan; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Philip F. Motl and we extend our sincerest condolences to his family and friends; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to his family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
