SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of Shirley Green of Herrin on June 11, 2005; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Green was born June 2, 1936, in Herrin, to Ray Sr. and Jessie (Walker) Hock; and

WHEREAS, She married Charles Green on June 6, 1959; she was a bookkeeper; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Shirley Green is felt by all who knew and loved her, especially her husband, Charles Green; her brother, Ray and wife Joan Hock; her sister, Louise and husband Bill Aaron; her brothers-in-law, J.T. Green and Jim Harris; several nieces and nephews; and her loving pets, Peaches and Cream; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Shirley Green and extend our sincerest condolences to her family; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to her family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
