SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with deep sadness of the untimely death of Jonson Lee Janes of Carterville on Thursday, May 5, 2005; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Janes was born on July 10, 1982, in Carbondale, to Phil and Linda (Ditterline) Janes; and

WHEREAS, He enjoyed playing video games and working on the computer, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his friends; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Jonson Lee Janes has been deeply felt by many, especially his mother and step-father, Linda and Jerry Thompson; his brothers and a sister-in-law, Jason and Andrea Janes and Robert Stalker; his sister and brother-in-law, Scarlett and Kevin Daugherty; his grandmother, Irene Janes; his soul mate, Erica Smith; his nieces and nephews, Jaylen and Jillian Janes and Mackenzie, McCaine, and Dolton Daugherty; and his numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; he was preceded in death by his father and aunt and uncle, Cleo and Jerry Harris; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Jonson Lee Janes, who was taken from this life at much too young an age, and we extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to his family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
