SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of Wilma Hyatt of Pekin on May 7, 2005; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Hyatt was born May 14, 1924, in Roseville, to Frank J. and Edith Enfield Schumm; and

WHEREAS, She married John Kenneth Hyatt on July 29, 1942, in Pekin; and

WHEREAS, She was a homemaker; she was a member of First Christian Church; she belonged to the Women of the Moose, was active in Pekin bowling leagues, and volunteered at Pekin Hospital for many years; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Wilma Hyatt is felt by all who knew and loved her, especially her daughter, Wilanna (Rex) Thorpe; her son, Larry (Sandy) Hyatt; and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Wilma Hyatt and extend our sincerest condolences to her family, friends, and community; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to her family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
