| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois | | 3 |
| learned with sadness of the death of Douglas "Scotty" King of | | 4 |
| Jonesboro on April 25, 2005; and
| | 5 |
| WHEREAS, Scotty King was born on February 22, 1994, in | | 6 |
| Carbondale, the son of Douglas Dean King and Lisa Marie (Davis) | | 7 |
| Mull; and
| | 8 |
| WHEREAS, He was a third-grader at Jonesboro Elementary | | 9 |
| School and attended Landmark Pentecostal Church in Anna and | | 10 |
| United Pentecostal Church in Dongola; and
| | 11 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Douglas "Scotty" King is felt by | | 12 |
| all who knew and loved him, especially his mother, Lisa Mull; | | 13 |
| his father, Douglas King; his sisters, Christina Davis, | | 14 |
| Stephanie King, Trevyn Garris, and Trista Mull; his maternal | | 15 |
| grandfather, Johnnie Davis; his paternal grandparents, Fred | | 16 |
| and Betty King; his uncle, John Davis; and several cousins, | | 17 |
| other relatives, and many, many friends; therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL | | 19 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | | 20 |
| Douglas "Scotty" King and extend our sincerest condolences to | | 21 |
| his family and friends; and be it further
| | 22 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | | 23 |
| presented to his family as an expression of our deepest | | 24 |
| sympathy.
