SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with regret of the death of Elizabeth A. Groves of Peoria on Friday, January 21, 2005; and

WHEREAS, She was born on December 5, 1917, in Peoria to Albert and Sarah Swords Raistrick; she married William Groves on June 10, 1951, in Peoria; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Groves worked at Boss Glove Factory and later at Bork Auto Parts and Machine Co.; she attended Second Baptist Church in Peoria; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Elizabeth A. Groves has been deeply felt by many, especially her husband, William; her daughter, Marilyn (and Don) Magiera; her son, Bill (and Kathy); and her four grandchildren; she was preceded in death by seven brothers, two sisters, and one grandson; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Elizabeth A. Groves, and we extend our deepest sympathy to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Mrs. Groves as an expression of our sincere condolences.
