SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois
3 learned with regret of the death of Robert E. Sipp of rural
4 Cambridge on Saturday, March 12, 2005; and
 
5     WHEREAS, He was born on February 27, 1940, in Peoria to
6 Earl and Elsie (Traub) Sipp; he was a graduate of Dunlap High
7 School and the University of Illinois; he served in the U.S.
8 National Guard; and
 
9     WHEREAS, Mr. Sipp married Sharon K. Mankle on May 19, 1963,
10 in Peoria; he was a farm manager for Doane Agriculture in
11 Champaign from 1963 to 1971; he farmed in rural Cambridge for
12 many years, and most recently, he was a financial broker with
13 ADM; and
 
14     WHEREAS, He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, the
15 Cambridge High School Board for 12 years, serving as president
16 for 5 years, and was a Church Council member of Cambridge
17 Lutheran Church; he was selected Outstanding Farmer of the Year
18 and currently was Burns Township road commissioner and a member
19 of Valley View Country Club in Cambridge; he enjoyed horses,
20 golfing, and helping his children; and
 
21     WHEREAS, The passing of Robert E. Sipp has been deeply felt
22 by many, especially his wife, Sharon; his daughter, Mrs. Greg
23 (Michelle) McKenzie; his sons, Tim (Monica) Sipp, Tom (Staci)
24 Sipp, and Toby (Katherine) Sipp; his mother, Elsie Sipp; his
25 grandchildren, Ashley and Channing McKenzie, Alexis and Caleb
26 Sipp, and Abigail Sipp; his brothers, Jim (Debbie) Sipp and
27 Bill (Julie) Sipp; and his sister, Mrs. Don (Kathy) Kindilien;
28 he was preceded in death by his father ; therefore, be it
 
29     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL
30 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

1 Robert E. Sipp, and we extend our deepest sympathy to his
2 family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
3 further
 
4     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
5 presented to his family as an expression of our sincere
6 condolences.
