SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with regret of the death of Robert E. Sipp of rural Cambridge on Saturday, March 12, 2005; and

WHEREAS, He was born on February 27, 1940, in Peoria to Earl and Elsie (Traub) Sipp; he was a graduate of Dunlap High School and the University of Illinois; he served in the U.S. National Guard; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Sipp married Sharon K. Mankle on May 19, 1963, in Peoria; he was a farm manager for Doane Agriculture in Champaign from 1963 to 1971; he farmed in rural Cambridge for many years, and most recently, he was a financial broker with ADM; and

WHEREAS, He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, the Cambridge High School Board for 12 years, serving as president for 5 years, and was a Church Council member of Cambridge Lutheran Church; he was selected Outstanding Farmer of the Year and currently was Burns Township road commissioner and a member of Valley View Country Club in Cambridge; he enjoyed horses, golfing, and helping his children; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Robert E. Sipp has been deeply felt by many, especially his wife, Sharon; his daughter, Mrs. Greg (Michelle) McKenzie; his sons, Tim (Monica) Sipp, Tom (Staci) Sipp, and Toby (Katherine) Sipp; his mother, Elsie Sipp; his grandchildren, Ashley and Channing McKenzie, Alexis and Caleb Sipp, and Abigail Sipp; his brothers, Jim (Debbie) Sipp and Bill (Julie) Sipp; and his sister, Mrs. Don (Kathy) Kindilien; he was preceded in death by his father ; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Robert E. Sipp, and we extend our deepest sympathy to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to his family as an expression of our sincere condolences.
