SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of Paul Raymond Swanson of Princeton on March 7, 2005; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Swanson was born September 2, 1937, in Princeton, the son of Raymond D. and Zelma (Dremann) Swanson; and

WHEREAS, He was a graduate of Princeton High School, the University of Miami, and Lewis University; he also graduated from Riddle Aviation School in Miami; and

WHEREAS, He was an Air Force veteran and had been a member of the Air Force Reserve; he had flown as a commercial pilot and had worked at LCN in Princeton and farmed near Princeton; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Paul Raymond Swanson is felt by all who knew and loved him, especially his son, Paul R. Swanson Jr.; his four grandchildren; his brother, Glen L. Swanson; and his nieces and nephew; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Paul Raymond Swanson and extend our sincerest condolences to his family, friends, and community; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to his family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
