SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING HEREIN, that we urge the United States Congress to propose an amendment to the United States Constitution providing for the protection of traditional marriage; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be sent to each member of the Illinois Congressional delegation, to the President pro tempore of the United States Senate, and to the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives.
