SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

105 ILCS 5/3A-4.5 new

Amends the School Code. Requires the State Board of Education, in consultation with the Illinois Association of Regional Superintendents of Schools, to develop a plan to change the boundaries of educational service regions so that an educational service region in this State has the same boundaries as a community college district in this State. Effective immediately.

AN ACT concerning education.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Section 3A-4.5 as follows:

(105 ILCS 5/3A-4.5 new)

Sec. 3A-4.5. Boundary change plan. The State Board of Education, in consultation with the Illinois Association of Regional Superintendents of Schools, shall develop a plan to change the boundaries of educational service regions so that an educational service region in this State has the same boundaries as a community college district in this State.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
